the inherent sapphism of being a horticulturalist, or, what plants have taught me about being human and having a body
An essay written by solarpunk opossum
I wrote this essay to try and share some of the deeper spiritual thoughts and feelings I have about plants. I had just taken 3.5g of psilocybin and realized I needed to put some stuff into words. 4k words and several days later I had this.
I cover a lot of topics in this essay, but here's some of what I talk about.
-queer sexuality
-working through religious trauma and purity culture
-the inherent spirituality of being a horticulturalist
-plant science
-the sensuality of plants and food
Content warning for religious trauma and mild sexual content.
